How You Can Help

If you are artistically inclined and would like to lend your time and talents to helping others, please contact us about volunteering.

We welcome artists of a wide variety of disciplines, including visual arts, music, dance, creative writing. Opportunities exist for you to work one on one with patients, or in group settings, or to perform in public areas of the hospital.

If you would like to make donations to Arts in Medicine, we would be very grateful for donations of art materials. Our wishlist of supplies:

  • Canvas boards (6x8 inches or larger)
  • Construction Paper
  • Watercolor paper or heavy-weight paper
  • Acrylic paints
  • Tempera paints
  • Watercolor paints
  • Paint brushes, all kinds
  • Colored pencils
  • Crayons
  • Oil pastels
  • Writing pencils
  • Small blank books (unlined for drawing or lined for journaling)
  • Mod-podge
  • Quart and Gallon-sized Zip-Lock bags
  • Paper Plates
  • Used Magazines (especially with good photographs, like National Geographic or travel magazines)
  • Fabric
  • Yarn
  • Craft Books or Magazines
  • Used CD's
  • Musical Instruments
  • Songbooks
  • Beading Supplies
