Dangers of Distracted Driving

Andrew Kerwin, M.D., F.A.C.S., a University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville associate professor of surgery and division chief of acute care surgery, discussed the dangers of distracted driving with First Coast News host Charlene Shirk. Kerwin said more than 4,000 patients are seen in the trauma center at Shands Jacksonville each year and 45 percent of those patients are involved in motor vehicle crashes.
