To meet the needs of our Northside neighbors, Shands Jacksonville plans to construct a new hospital - Shands Jacksonville North - at I-95 and Duval Road across from River City Marketplace. The new state-of-the-art, 110-bed facility will include private rooms, an emergency department, obstetrics, general surgery and advanced imaging. This project is just one more way our organization seeks to fulfill its mission to the community. [watch]

The need to have in place a system to encompass the prompt diagnosis and care of a cancer that often involves complex treatment plans and coordination of services triggered the creation of the multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Program at Shands Jacksonville.
