The Shands Jacksonville Transplant Center has voluntarily inactivated. The center is no longer accepting new patient referrals. Patients who received care at the center (evaluation, pre-operative care, post-operative care) may continue to receive care at the center until a replacement program is found.
Pre-operative transplant patients
We will continue to assist pre-operative transplant patients in transferring to waiting lists at other transplant centers. Patients will retain their "waitlist seniority" on the new organization's transplant waiting list. Additional information about transferring to another facility's waitlist is available at http://www.unos.org/docs/Multiple_Listing.pdf.
Post-operative transplant patients
Post-operative transplant patients will continue to receive follow-up care at UF Nephrology & Hypertension at ACC.
Post-operative living donors
Persons who have undergone living donor surgery at Shands Jacksonville may continue to receive care at Shands Jacksonville throughout their post-operative period.
