Treatment Options

Proton Therapy

Proton therapy has shown success in the treatment of a variety of cancers. These include:

• Cancer in children/pediatric malignancies
• Urological cancers, especially prostate cancer
• Breast cancer
• Lung cancer
• Bone and soft tissue sarcomas
• Cancer of the eye and other disorders such as macular degeneration
• Head and neck cancer
• Brain cancer and cancer of the central nervous system

Conventional Therapy

In addition to proton therapy, the department has two state-of-the-art linear accelerators that provide:

• 3D conformal therapy
• IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)
• IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy)
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery

The department also offers a wide range of brachytherapy treatment options.
