The University of Florida Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a long tradition of excellence. The department consists of divisions in maternal and fetal medicine, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, and general obstetrics and gynecology. The faculty members provide patient care at Shands Jacksonville as well as numerous community health centers.

A robust research division provides strong supervision over and assistance with departmental research. The department offers an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
