The University of Florida Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a long tradition of excellence. The department consists of divisions in maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, and general obstetrics and gynecology. The faculty members provide patient care at Shands Jacksonville as well as numerous community health centers.

A robust research division provides strong supervision over and assistance with departmental research. The department offers an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
