The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville's Department of Medicine provides patient care services at Shands Jacksonville, as well as several primary and specialty care centers throughout Jacksonville. These services are delivered through the department's ten academic and clinical divisions. Faculty members of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Division of Hospital Medicine are responsible for most of the inpatient care. Experts in each specialty provide comprehensive services for health maintenance, preventive care and disease management, using the latest technology and evidence-based interventions.
