The University of Florida Division of General Academic and Hospital Pediatrics offers around-the-clock services of a pediatric hospitalist for children who require a stay in the hospital. The hospitalist is a physician specialist who is available at the child's bedside for immediate attention of care and treatment needs. This specialist works closely with the pediatrician or primary care physician to assure all lines communications are open among the family, hospital staff and any additional caregivers.
