The University of Florida Division of Functional and Molecular Imaging addresses physiologic and metabolic aspects of imaging. The division communicates with many different healthcare providers at Shands Jacksonville regarding medical issues ranging from neurological, pulmonary, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, renal and musculoskeletal diseases. The physicians provide radiologic support for a wide variety of oncologic (cancer), degenerative and endocrinologic processes. The imaging modalities include single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), positron emission tomography (PET) and positron emission tomography computed tomography (PET-CT).
