The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism serves an important role in empowering patients to make lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes and obesity. Physicians within the division have developed programs that make weight loss and diabetes prevention achievable. Working one-on-one with patients, they also stress the importance of treating high cholesterol and elevated blood pressure to lessen the risk for heart disease and stroke. Additionally, these specialists diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions affecting the thyroid, adrenal glands, pituitary gland and bones (including osteoporosis, calcium abnormalities and vitamin D deficiency).

Dedicated to providing excellent care, these UF faculty physicians are experts at preventing and delaying the complications of diabetes and osteoporosis. Diagnostic and therapeutic decisions are based on the most recent data from scientific studies. The physicians practicing here have completed subspecialty training in endocrinology and are American Board of Internal Medicine certified/eligible in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
