Program Calendar
- Classes begin during the first week in September each year.
- Academic classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings throughout the first 12 months of training. During the second year of training, the academic classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. The remainder of the 40 hour week during each year will be spent in the student’s assigned clinical area.
- Students must report to their assignment clinical area immediately before and after scheduled classes.
- Students are allowed 10 personal leave days annually, none of these days can be carried forward to the second year. Personal leave days must be scheduled through the office of the program director.
- Students will not be scheduled for any of the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
- Each student will be scheduled to have two (1) week breaks each year. These breaks are scheduled in December and August. The exact dates vary from year-to-year.
- Student shift rotation assignments during the 24 month training program will include; days, evenings, and weekends. Weekends and evening shift requirements will not exceed 25% of the total clinical hour requirements.
- The program completion date will be during final week in the 24th month of enrollment period, provided the student has successfully completed all of academic and clinical requirements; including but not limited to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists clinical competency requirements.
