Admission Information
A new radiography class begins in September of each year. The Radiography Admissions Committee begins reviewing candidates March 1. This evaluating committee consists of the Program Director and the Clinical Coordinator. Adjunct faculty and student radiographers are also present during interviews. In order to be granted an interview, the candidate must submit the completed application requirements prior to March 1. Applicants are selected based on successful completion of the application process and the interview. Acceptance and rejection letters are mailed to all candidates in April.

** Candidates completing 20 hours from Florida Communtiy College of Jacksonville are eligible to receive an AA degree from FCCJ.

Physical Requirements
Students must be able to lift more than 50 pounds, perform duties with arms above head, must be able to push, pull, bend and stoop, kneel and squat. Students must be able to perform duties while standing for 80 percent of the time. Students must be able to demonstrate compassion for the sick, speak and write effectively, hear and see clearly. Students must be able to perform clinical duties on all shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.
Students accepted into the program will be required to pass a physical exam and drug screen conducted by Shands Jacksonville.
Transfer Students
Transfer applications are considered on an individual basis. Students transferring from accredited programs will be given credit for all hours successfully completed.
State Approved
The Florida State Approval Agency has fully approved this program as a full-time vocational course, providing Veterans with full training benefits.
