Program Specifics
The Shands Jacksonville School of Radiologic Technology is a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited certificate awarding program. The program was recently awarded the maximum accreditation duration of 8 years. This is a 23 month program consisting of 40 hours per week schedule. Students should anticipate that 6-8 hours per week, outside of the 40 per week schedule for homework, projects and exam preparation. Student will be required to rotate shifts and days. All classroom and clinical training is done on the Shands Jacksonville Medical Center Campus. The program is approved for training 26 students. Approximately 8 – 10 students are accepted annually. A completed application must be submitted by October 31st, 2012. Classes begin in early January 2013.
Students are required to attend school a total of 40 hours each week. Assignments are posted two weeks in advance. Classes are held during the scheduled 40 hour week.
