Program Specifics
The program is 24 months of full-time didactic and clinical training. The program is approved for training 32 students. Approximately 10 - 16 students are accepted annually. A completed application must be submitted by March 1. Classes begin in early September.
Students are required to attend school a total of 40 hours each week. Assignments are posted two weeks in advance. Classes are held during the scheduled 40 hour week.
Nine holidays and 10 personal days are observed annually.
Students are required to maintain a minimum grade average of 75 percent. Evaluations of didactic and clinical performance are conducted at three-month intervals throughout training.
Because of radiosensitivity, a policy concerning pregnancy is maintained and published in the policy manual. This document will be made available to the applicant prior to admission or upon request.
Successful Completion
The graduate must have successfully completed the 24-month curriculum. A diploma is awarded during a graduation ceremony indicating completion. The graduate is then eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists examination.
