The podiatric residency program at Shands Jacksonville is a PM&S 36 under the new model and is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.

Shands Jacksonville is a 696-bed facility that houses both an advanced orthopaedic facility - the Bone & Joint Institute - and the region's Level I Trauma Center, both of which serve all of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

Our program is fully integrated with the orthopaedic department. The orthopaedic department offers an accredited 5-year orthopaedic surgery residency program with four residents per training year.
