Patient Care
The patient care mission of the Shands Jacksonville Pharmacy Department is to optimize drug therapy through a proactive practice focusing on identifying, preventing, and resolving drug related problems to assure patient safety, increase patient satisfaction and minimize cost.  The department's Division of Inpatient Practice directs all inpatient pharmaceutical services at Shands Jacksonville.
The Division of Ambulatory Practice manages the Shands Jacksonville Ambulatory Pharmacy, which is limited to serving Shands Jacksonville patients. It is located on the first floor of the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) and is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. (904) 244-4020
