Fees

ACCEPTANCE FEE

School of Medical Technology

A fee of $300.00 (subject to change) is required with the student's acceptance letter into the program. This fee is non-refundable and applied toward the purchase of required textbooks.

TUITION

At this time the Hospital charges no tuition fees billed directly to the student, but students enrolled in 3+1 programs may be charged tuition fees by their college/university.

PARKING

Free parking is available for students.

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH STUDENT TRAINEE APPLICATION

A $45.00 fee (subject to change) is required by the Florida Department of Health/Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel when application is made for licensure as a trainee.

FEES FOR LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION EXAMINATIONS

To meet individual agency deadlines (ASCP, NCA, DOH/BCLP*) application for national certification examination and state licensure by endorsement is made while the student is still in his/her clinical rotation. Fees vary among examinations and are submitted with each application.

Financial Aid

Educational loans are available through:

  • Florida Division of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science

Scholarships are available from:

  • New York Life Foundation Scholarship Program for Women in the Health Professions
  • American Society of Clinical Pathologists
  • American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science

Loans and scholarships are also available through affiliated colleges and universities.
