About UF Health Jacksonville

UF Health Jacksonville

Growing with Northeast Florida

Our work to improve the health of the community began in 1870 from three small buildings. Today, UF Heath Jacksonville touches the lives of thousands of area residents from dozens of state-of-the art facilities. As we have grown with the region, what has remained unchanged is our promise to offer the best possible medical care to our patients.

The region’s premier academic health center

As an academic health center, we have a four-part mission: to heal, to comfort, to educate and to discover.

  • To heal, we provide quality patient care in our hospitals, clinics and physician practices.
  • To comfort, we serve as a health care safety net and champion for the elimination of health disparities.
  • To educate, UF Health clinicians and experts from across the care spectrum offer training for tomorrow’s health care professionals.
  • To discover, our University of Florida medical specialists in Jacksonville lead clinical trials and research programs aimed at moving medicine forward.
